The Kitchen Table, Mumbles

I asked on my Instagram as well as on a Facebook group where people would recommend to eat in Mumbles and The Kitchen Table was recommended to me multiple times (I think it was 6!) so it is highly thought of in the coeliac / gluten free community and I can see why!

I trusted the staff so much and I felt they fully understood cross contamination - especially being as I wasn't ill at all afterwards.  The gluten free options are listed on their normal menu and there are lots of options available for us.  It is amazing how many options we do have.  They make gluten free ordering so easy and doesn't make you feel different, which I love.

I had a gluten free fish and chips which was honestly amazing.  I was expecting yummy food but I wasn't prepared for how good this meal was.  The batter was amazing, really crispy and wasn't oily at all.  The chips maybe the best chips I've ever tried!!  I tried mushy peas for the first time and they were delicious.  I'm fairly certain it was homemade which made even more delicious.  I also loved the sauce which complimented the dish so so well.

My mum had gluten free five bean nachos which I obviously had to try too!  It was delicious!  I honestly, didn't realise it was vegetarian.  The cheese topping with the five beans tasted so good with everything.  My mum couldn't eat all of it as it is such a good portion size.  The sauces on the side, we also think were homemade and my mum said how delicious it all was.

I cannot wait to go back to Mumbles on my holiday next year to try some more of The Kitchen Table's offerings.  They had so many gluten free options available as well as vegetarian and vegan options too.  The menu was so extensive and the staff were all so so nice.  I went in for lunch but I they also do breakfasts, puddings and I believe they do dinners too.

Have you ever eaten at The Kitchen Table, Mumbles?  What did you order when you were there?

Good Full Stop review

I have tried so many cereal  bars, I love the ease of just having a bar when I'm out and on the go, as well as being able to keep it in my bag so I know there's always food out there for me.

So when I was very kindly sent a box of goodies from Good Full Stop to try and review, I was very excited.  You can find them at Holland & Barrett, Grape Tree stores as well as many independent shops.  They've very kindly given my readers a discount code of GFSBLOG for 50% off your first order, how good is that?!

The first bars I tried was the choc & orange and the double choc.  The choc & orange one tasted delicious, I really liked the strong flavour of orange as it reminds me of a chocolate orange!  It made me thinking I was eating something unhealthy when in reality I was eating something pretty good for me!!
The double choc one I had after the gym, it stopped any hunger I had and definitely refueled me after the exercise.  The chocolate flavour is quite strong but it was perfectly fine for after exercise.
I gave my Granny the mocha & caffeine as I'm not a caffeine fan, she has reported back saying it was very yummy!  I'm glad she enjoyed it.

The choc & mint one tasted very minty - perfect if you love minty chocolate! It'll make you smell very nice, minty fresh if you'd like!!
Mixed nuts is perfect if you want a nutty snack bar to fuel you.  If you're a fan of nuts, this is the one for you! I especially like this as nuts provide such good fuel for energy and is a great for after exercise.

The raspberry was my favourite, it was very subtle but that's my ideal bar! I loved the smell of this one.
Cherry & maple tasted good too, this was also subtle, probably my second favourite! This smelt amazing!

I have to say spicy foods are not my thing at all, so my mum tried them. She said double choc & chili wasn't too strong on the chili and was a nice combination with the chocolate flavour.
Fiery choc and chili was exactly that - fiery!!  It was a little too fiery for my mum but if you're into heat, this is your thing.  Let me know if you can handle the heat!!

Visit their website here, and use the code GFSBLOG for 50% off your first order.  And, don't forget to tag me on Instagram in any posts!!

You can keep up with their social media: Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.  Make sure you keep up with their latest news!

I would just like to thank Good Full Stop for sending me their bars to try.  Although I was sent them, all opinions are my own and I am not being paid in response to this post or any social media posts related.

Forest & Shore hallelujah hair oil review

I have found that since my coeliac diagnosis, I get very dry hair and very dry skin.  I have no idea why but I do know that others suffer the same issues.  I have to constantly use moisturising products to keep my skin soft and hair not frizzy!  Emily very kindly contacted me to ask if I would like to try her new brand, Forest & Shore, hallelujah hair oil for dry or damaged hair.  I jumped at the chance as it's something that would benefit my hair so much and I knew that some of you would find it useful too as I'm not the only one with dry hair (or skin!).  It is also cruelty free which I do really love.

As you can see, the packaging is amazing!  The bottle comes in a cardboard box that has this neutral floral pattern on, this is completely my aesthetics!  The product comes in a class jar with a pipette to dispense the product from.  I feel so fancy when I use this hair oil!!

It smells honestly amazing, the packaging says it is 'a blend of olive, sesame, coconut, arnica, rosemary and lavender essential oils' - they all go together so beautifully.

So, how is it helping my hair?
My hair is not frizzy anymore!  I put around 3 drops on my hand and rub it into the ends of my hair, every night after I wash my hair.  I then roughly blow dry it and my hair doesn't go frizzy at all.  I have very thick hair and I often find it can go uncontrollable I don't have a product in my hair.  I used to find that sometimes my hair felt too heavy and weighed down with certain oils, but as you use so little of this oil, I don't have this issue.

The delivery...
I ordered the product on Friday 18th and it was meant to be delivered between Thursday 24th to Wednesday 30th (it was a bank holiday weekend) which I thought was pretty quick - 3 to 5 working days.  But no.  It got delivered on Tuesday 22nd!  How quick is that?!  I was honestly so impressed!  I love speedy delivery, I get excited for a parcel when I order and when it comes quickly, it means I get to use it quicker - bonus!!

As you can see in the above photo, it is free from synthetic fragrances, synthetic colours, parabens, sulfates, silicone, EDTA and mineral oil.  It is 100% organic and is soil association approved.  They are suitable for vegetarians and vegans, none of their products have been tested on animals.  It is also recyclable.

You can buy the product here.

I hope you have found this useful, as it is something a little different for my blog but I did think it would help many of you.  Do let me know if you've tried it and you're thoughts.  Thank you once again to Emily and the team at Forest & Shore for giving me this opportunity to try your amazing hair oil.
As always, all opinions are on my own.  I have not been paid and have no obligation to say anything or post about this product - I just love it so thought you'd want to hear about it!
